Subject: RE: Sprayer guidance

I was at a Birkeys customer appreciation dinner this summer and there were reps from the company that makes the feelers for corn heads, don’t remember the name, but they said they were beta testing feelers for sprayers this year. Not sure when they will be available but I got the sense that it wasn’t quite as easy as simply putting the same system for a corn head on a sprayer. I’m sure the higher speeds of the sprayer creates some issues that they are trying to work through. It would sure make post spraying a much easier job especially something like y-drop or fungicide. Seems like the bigger the corn gets and the wind starts blowing the leaves around it gets a little harder to find the middles especially on contours.
