North Central Illinois | I expect an initial knee jerk reaction to the upside tonight. Beans up 20 and corn up maybe 10. I think tomorrow's trade and close will tell the story about how the news from the summit is going to be perceived. Part of the problem is we still don't really know what was agreed to. Trump is holding off on additional tariffs for now and supposedly the Chinese have committed to buying energy and agricultural products. My thought is that after the initial euphoria wears off traders will take a wait and see approach to get an idea of what this really means. Keep in mind both parties are extremely unpredictable. It would seem to be a step in the right direction but far from resolved as near as I can tell. | |
