I figure it’ll be similar to last May when we made the high for the year after the famous “China will buy everything the American farmer can produce.”
The thing that will hold it back a bit is this time we know it’s a big crop and our stocks are Mount Everest sized. Haha.
If this happened last August and we had more time to ship beans before SA’s crop will start being harvested, it’d have a larger effect. It’ll be an interesting analog year if this truly gets resolved because we have so many beans on hand that SA will lose all its premium and then some. We may ship beans when we normally don’t due to a steep discount.
