I just enter the the beginning and ending dates of each month manually in one location and have all of my other spreadsheets draw the dates from that location.

You could make A11 be: =A1+31 and so on for each month. That will work until you run into a leap year and then you will have to change Feb to +29 instead of +28.

There is probably a more sophisticated way to do it, but I've not had enough need to look too far for that.

Dates can be added and subtracted from each other just like numbers. I use that for lots of things like computing days to market when doing swine closeouts.
