Leesburg, Ohio
Kendallfarmer: I don't have a dog (or hog) in this fight, but I am a farmer who supports the concept of checkoffs.

My question to you is this: How, exactly, would a checkoff, or any farm organization, "put a halt" to vertical integration?

Vertical integration happens almost exclusively because of economic forces, both macro and micro. How can a farm organization change the laws of economics that radically without taking away capitalistic freedoms?
