Altoona, WI | Your two options are oven cleaner or leaving it on there. Oven cleaner will not hurt the so-called non stick finish as long as you do not use anything to scrub it off that will damage it. The other option of leaving it on there will actually provide better non stick properties than you had to start with. The black stuff is carbon, which is non stick. It makes stuff look ugly but is actually the best non stick you can have. Carbon is what makes cast iron work. | |
