Grandpa calls it God's country, NEIA | Just Learning, Seems to own most if not all the land he farms. So I'm pretty sure he could probably do it. But I'll say this "HERE" I HIGHLY doubt land values fall by half. There is to much "OLD" money here. The families that have always had the ability to buy land will continue to do so. And there is always the guys that bought a pile of it in the 80s after the crash that havent bought 1 acre since. Those guys are waiting in the weeds.
I will say the Marginal farms have fallen quite a bit in price. But the Good stuff. Black as tar for 2-4+ feet down hasn't fallen much at all. |
