Well I waited around a bit to see if any land I really wanted came for sale. It didn't, so I headed down to the local bank this morning and negotiated out a deal. They gave me 3% interest on 60 month CD. I can withdraw the full amount at any time I want and absolutely no penalty whatsoever for any reason I see fit. Pleased with the deal and thankful for some of the advice given here. Might try mailing letters to a few landowners and let them know I would be interested in buying if they were ever interested in selling. In the meantime I am getting a decent return on my money. Kind of upset with myself that I didn't ask more questions sooner. | |
