E85 is anywhere from 51-83% ethanol, we’ve entered the winter driving season and the blend has changed. As far as too high, please breakdown the cost of each component of the price, ie barrel, refining, blending, distribution, taxation and retailing and show us what it should sell for today. As far as tax goes, it varies but the low is Alaska at .264 to the high of California at .69, Iowa’s at .404, Illinois at .628 and Indiana at .614, the fed and state taxes are paid per gallon no matter what is in the gallon.
