I love to see folks save as much quality as possible.

You should be able to output your vhs tape to a dvd writer in order to digitally save the video as directly as possible.

So, whatever output lines that unit has, you should be able to connect to a computer you have with a writable DVD player? And then the computer dvd could write the best available quality you have.

Your passing through the tv to a usb, or through a computer to a usb also could easily work.

As you have figured out, it appears your dvd/ vhs only reads disks, it doesn’t write to them from the specs I see.
