Paul, it is an LG model V782W. Video recorder [to VHS] and has the faclity to copy a DVD to a blank VHS tape!

Absolutely nothing in the instruction book re 'burning' DVD's - so that is clearly not an option.

As others mention - DVD's are also getting to the obsolete phase, so that idea probably should be skipped.

The idea of using a cam corder to video the video's played on a flat screen TV has set me on a different line of thought -

The TV records onto USB 'sticks' - so I must read the TV instruction book and see if it will record a Video, input from the VHS player, onto memory stick!

What do you reckon my chances are?
