Collin Peterson will be the new Ag Chair in the House.. and he wants to EXPAND the CRP..

IF Trump isn't successful in cracking open the Chinese market.. and/or "numbers" is correct that we'll never have the Same Market access to China no matter..  ???

We COULD dump some of these excess acres.. into CRP with a SLIDING payment scale that IF you harvested some of the acreage.. to .. go.. to.. a biodigestor.

Say you harvest every.. 3 years.. 5 years.. every year in the Cornbelt.. and you took a reduction in the Rental payment that year.. on a sliding scale.. 100% for no harvest.. 80% for 1 in 5..  whatever.. something could be worked out.. it would


1) SAVE the Treasury $$$
2) Rebalance the cropped acreage.. (upward sloping crop yields = less land cultivated.. fertilized.. etc..)
3) Provide a new income stream to lower productive ground
4) Add value to Corn Ethanol through RNG credits to Low Carbon Cali market.. which will probably expand.. states along the East Coast are considering adding it.
