Trump himself raised expectations with his tweet, then his team lowered them at the APEC meeting.
Chinese are definitely lowering expectations for a rapturous resolution.
It's probably bullish that expections are low.
Here who is hurting in China (and no, they are not going to starve despite our wildest fantasies that they continue to buy beans, and eat fish heads):
Chinese hog producers, and there are a lot of small ones. High feed costs, and bans on transport because of swine fever, are hurting them,
maybe like soy producers here. That is a constituency.
