MN | We never had anything before, our customers always cut their own, some self propelled, some had pull type sickle, it didn't really matter until we started picking up more work, then it was impossible to coordinate everything and there was too much sit time waiting for them to finish cutting. We also had a larger customer that we do oats, peas and barley for that rented a self propelled 20 ft. And we we chased windrows because he was in a different area and didn't have a good way to get the merger out there. So we found a krone with merger tables on the back so we can lay alfalfa out flat for a quick dry and put the mergers down for oats and not have to chase quite so many windrows. Didn't have much light stuff this year, did some 4th cut alfalfa that was kinda short but thick, we're very happy with it, here's a shot of the summary screen when we finished that. We've got flail conditioners but the krone has a 2speed gearbox so low speed and conditioning hoods wide open for less damage. One of our first cutting jobs we finished cutting at 3am and it was ready by 5 pm. Here's a link to a short video of it in in some first cutting. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2261806340504032&id=2011...
