In your mind there are only two choices, but I think in the rest of the country we might see more options.

Having the govt run it is not the answer. Making people pay for their care is the answer. Once people have to pay for the consequences of their actions and be responsible for their health, I bet our system would clear right up. I have a couple bad habits, like drinking too much coffee and probably eat a few too many carbs and sugars, but it hasn’t been a problem. I guarantee you at the first whiff of a diabetic issue, my diet would get a complete overhaul before I’d go on meds. But that’s not really what happens with the majority from what I’ve heard and seen.
