Bellevue, Iowa | Went to a Farmers National land auction last Friday. 213 acres, 201 tillable, no buildings, and a CSR2 of 70. They started the bid at $6000, and never got a taker. After 15 minutes of crying 6100, they called it a no sale.
Word was they had a reserve of $8100, or that it could be purchased for that. There were lower bids offered, but the auctioneer wouldn't take them. It is an area of good farmland and the auction was well attended. My thought is where were the neighbors, and are things finally adjusting to new realities. | |
