Subject: RE: Kansas wheat acres...???

Salina, Kansas
As has been said, here is North Central Ks, most of the wheat on wheat acres went in kind of on time around the first of Oct. Most of it looks okay except all the stuff planted the last 3 days before the mid oct rain events need replanting and they are not up. Most of the big notillers only plant wheat into soybeans and a very LARGE percentage of that is not planted and will not be especially since there are still a lot of those beans in the field. The part that is planted will not come up for weeks and that is if it stays warmer than normal. The wheat acres in our area will be down considerably because of this. Hate to make a guess but is could be as much as 50% down.
