I use QuickBooks and put my grain sales, machinery sold, insurance revenue, etc. under income. My assets would be machinery purchases, bred cows, etc. I can do a standard profit/loss report and get a printout with income categories and expense categories. At the bottom of the page, I will see my profit or loss.
