Happy First Timer: The Chinese aren't stupid. They wont let themselves get stuck in a situation again where they only have 1 or 2 suppliers of am essential commodity like soybeans.

Hold on a second! I have been on of the very vocal critics on here of the tariffs and trade war. But, It needs to be pointed out here that through all of this our soybeans have always been available for the Chinese to import. This wasn’t an embargo against China. They chose to place a 25% tariff on our soybeans in retaliation for tariffs placed on their products coming to the US. I really don’t think the argument can be made that the US is an unreliable supplier in this instance??? Don’t misunderstand me, I do believe this trade war will haunt US farmers for quite some time. But I think for anyone to to say we’re an unreliable supplier because of this is wrong in my opinion.
