Madison Co. Virginia | Is there any way you could swing 100% of the cows and inventory? It would be to your advantage if you can run your own operation while renting the facilities and equipment. If you only own 40%, he still controls the operation. You're merely providing bail-out money to help him through a hard time. What happens if he runs out of money, the ration goes south, and production and cow health follow right after? Your 40% ownership just evaporated.
I wouldn't worry too much about owning facilities. There's empties sitting everywhere.
