| My boss offered to let me buy into his dairy operation as he wants to start to get out of it. He is 55 years old and i am 22. He offered to let me buy 40 percent of the livestock and feed. This does not include any land, buildings or machinery. He also does not have any children. I think its very risky because down the road he could sell his farm to someone else before i would be financially able to afford it. The farm is just a few miles from Madison Wi, which makes the farmland very very valuable. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Do you think its smart to buy in and take the risk or what do you suggest i do or say? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you. | |
