Subject: cover crops

Eagle River Ontario Canada
Since i have joined my local soil and crop association the topic of cover crops seems to be in the fore front for soil health. In my area at times it seems like its is the land that time forgot. The tried and true way of doing things of the 60's and 70's runs deep with most operations. I have been trying to find more information about how cover crops can be used in an operation that runs older equipment.
I know that most guys these days that are using cover crops are no-till seeding, but is there a way to incorporate cover crops into an operation that simply does not have the cash flow to do pattern tiling and purchase newer no-till equipment.
Not saying that we would never get to that point but to get started to help our soil produce the best that it possibly can in the most efficient way with the gear we have.
