| finished yesterday late afternoon. we were down to 40 acres Thursday afternoon, then all he-- broke loose. shifting fork went on one truck, then the next day a motor on another, then a belt and a bearing on the combine Saturday. could have been worse the bearing started a fire on the combine. flames coming up the ladder by cab door. son was baling things out of cab thinking it was going up, but grabbed the extinguisher and it worked and he got it out. but we got done. good luck to all who have crops in field yet!! | |
