Why would you put used iron on a new combine. Better yet what does he need. I would sell whatever at 1/2 price on my 66 and buy a new part.

I've been wrenching on gleaner combines for 30 years and I do use used parts on occasion but if I owned a new model machine I can't think of one part that I would rather go used than new.
I don't get this at all.
The man simply asked for a source for parts of his choosing and suddenly he's being chastised for his entire business plan, which must be working if he's got that nice piece of equipment.
You say you've wrenched on Gleaners for years but don't say you've owned them. That kind of leans toward sounding like you're spending someone else's money on parts. |
