Eagle River Ontario Canada | I wanted to put this post up to see if there are many farmers starting from scratch like myself. I have been in business for 3 years now and it is starting to get busy between working full time off the farm and running the farm. Its definitely had its challenges as we grow but i love it and it is a lot of fun. We are primarily a cow calf operation and run a few finishers for freezer beef. The last two years we have played around with growing cereal grains and I quite enjoy it as well. even though it has been an extremely steep learning curve as i have no formal education in crop sciences, but we make it work. If anyone else has any stories of starting up id really like to learn from others experiences. |
