I  Know what you're talking about.     Had them on my face up into my hair (what there is of it) a couple of years ago.  Only affected the left side, worst was my eyebrow and forehead area. Doc was on the ball with an antiviral and pain meds, but, still took a couple of weeks to improve.    Soon as I could I got the shot and haven't had a reoccurance.    Biggest worry was my eye; but luckily I didn't suffer any loss of vision.    Good luck and Hang in there,  it will go away eventually.
