Subject: John Deere 7920

Seneca, IL
I’m looking at upgrading planter tractors to be able to handle added hydraulic needs on the planter as I continue upgrading it. Looking at a 2004 7920 with ivt trans and 4100 hours and power beyond. Not familiar with them too much other than my buddy has a 7930 with ivt that I have ran once or twice. Would be pulling a 12 row kinze 3200 which will eventually be a high speed planter. Also have plans of buying a pull type sprayer with 60 or 90’ booms and possibly a side dress rig. If the 4wd were to ever break down and I was in dire need it might need to be hooked to a Brent 880 cart short term in an emergency but the odds of that are pretty slim. Just wondering the good and bad on them and same for the ivt. I’ve looked at 8000 series also but seem to be priced higher with more hours. I also think the “mid” size frame would be a very nice fit for what I’m looking to do with it. Any info or input would be much appreciated
