Planning on butchering and selling some feeder pigs here by the half and whole. Shooting for 300lbs on the hoof ... thinking on asking $3.50 a lb for wholes and $4.00 for halves and I was going to pay processing. Processing should be somewhere in the neighborhood of $250-300 per pig depending on weight. Am I charging too much? Not enough? Should the customer pay processing? What would you charge?
