southern MN | I’m going to guess that most folk with the skills you need and willing to work the hours needed want to farm for themselves, and just can’t fit in to your operation.
You might end up with 2 part timers instead so they have what they want and you have an overlapping labor pool?
Or back off on some of the requirements, and train in on the job. You basically want a full time farmer experience, but willing to work for you not themselves. Really hard to find that independent worker that doesn’t want his independence, you are looking for the needle in the haystack.
I don’t really know, I have zero employees and enjoy it that way.
