| It sounds like your dealer is telling you right. For reference, 4240 won't need to be packaged with the ATU and SF6000 though. Also the permanent, non-transferable Autotrac activation is optional if you didn't want to autosteer or wanted a fairly inexpensive ISO VT. Your dealer probably recommending to bundle it all together for a nice system, and it sounds like that's what you want. My only reservation would be to make sure the planter is new enough but not too new. I believe 4240 will work back to a Seedstar 2 planter but won't work on newer Seedstar 4 HP.
It actually looks like Deere is hitting a nice sweet spot with this monitor. It is designed for customers who want Gen4 experience (software) but aren't interested in some of the more advanced uses like headland turn automation, and implement steering (active or passive).
Besides the permanent Autotrac option, the display comes with documentation, but Data Sync and Section Control will be subscription-based (1 year right now). Also no Apex. Online Operations Center only.
