| We loved Zombie Dirt. We transitioned from extract to BIAB in the last year. We usually brew two 5 gallon batches at a time, or one 10 gallon, split between two pots. However, we haven't had much of a chance to brew lately because of a busy summer, my wife and I having our third kid, and my buddy and I just being overly busy. Hopefully we'll kick production back up this winter.
We both have 3 tap kegerators in our garages, which is pretty awesome, and makes your place the place to hang out when buddies are around!
In fact, and this might sound weird to my beer snobs here, but we made a blackberry wheat that was absolutely phenomenal. Base wheat beer, and when it was fermented out, we added a big can of blackberry extract. It gave it an awesome blue/purple colored beer, was a bit tart at the beginning (which I loved, as I like sours, but haven't made any yet), which slowly disappeared. We'll make plenty of that before planting season and have kegs on hand ready to go! | |
