Subject: Fieldview Drive in sprayer with fence row nozzles

Central Nebraska

I'm running a CIH Patriot 4430 sprayer with a Raven Viper Pro for the rate controller and guidance.  Yesterday I started fall burndown and ran it with a Fieldview Drive for the first time.  I thought I had everything setup correctly with boom sections but after my first pass I had to make some adjustments for the fence row nozzles.  The boom is 120 feet with seven sections PLUS left and right fence rows.  On my iPad I initially had it setup as 7 sections but it didn't map correctly.  I eventually figured out that I had to make it 9 sections with 1 and 9 being set to 7 inches (the minimum allowed).  Is this how it is supposed to be?  Personally, I think it needs to have a separate option for the fence row nozzles or allow them to be set to zero so I don't have to enter the incorrect boom width.
