Immature beans after hard frost

since you think a hard freeze will help...........does that mean that the bean itself is still progressing at this point? I'm kind of curious because I have corn in a similar condition. Temp has only been as low as 29 degrees once a few days ago...........but has not frozen since. The plants are frosted and dead. The corn was close to maturity but not black layered.
