Donnellson, IA. Makes saying here easier.
Volume vs. Weight. Calibrate everything using 56# corn and then go combine a field of 64# corn and put a load separate in the monitor and tada you increased the yield vs. Monitor total. Cause the combine thinks x amount of volume = amount of pounds you taught it in calibration. Higher density changes nothing for it measuring volume. If you don't use a monitor or if all your hybrids have similar test weight no wow factor. Add 8# of density to what was thought to be just 56 and yields grow in monitor not if it was all scaled.
Back to original poster I would say if dry maybe possible we had some 64-65# drought corn once. But at that moisture even 56# can be hard to achieve on some hybrids.
