There can be some apt comparisons. If the cannabis consumed is less than 1% THC, it is essentially like drinking a non-alcoholic beer. And that's what we are seeing with cannabis grown for CBD use that is technically being classified as hemp. Even in that 5% THC range might just be like having a beer or two, depending whether somebody is taking a few puffs or smoking a whole blunt to themselves. >20% THC is pretty much comparable to hard liquor.
Point being, there are definitely different levels of cannabis intoxication that can range from no intoxicating effects to very strong intoxicating effects.
