What little manure ground we have is always terrible in a wet year and great in a dry/normal year. Someone smarter than me said plants have trouble taking the organic nitrogen up when there isn't oxygen in the soil. The fact that there is corn residue also competing to tie up nitrogen in COC is probably the other culprit this year. We were dry all year, my manure ground has been excellent this year.
