The majority of the wheat here in KY is planted following corn and the majority of those acres are no-tilled into standing corn stalks (and state yields continue to climb).

A properly configured and well ballasted John Deere 750 should do a good job seeding in the conditions you illustrated on a warm, drying, preferably windy day. After you burn it down, ideally set the seeding depth to 1.5-2", adjust the seed population based on planting date (it didn't say where your from in your post), ideally plant at an angle to the corn rows and most important..... ALWAYS plant wheat varieties with a well-known and good tolerance to fusarium (head scab). Lastly, be ready to apply a fusarium fungicide (at flowering) if conditions for the disease are considered suitable.
