It depends on location. Here, the chances of more than a dusting of snow are nearly nil through the middle of december. Our clay ground and rolling hills means stuff doesn't get stuck like it does for a lot of you. "Stuck" for us is sliding around on top, not dropping in. Also, I've gathered that the further north you are, the more the crop mix changes to small grains. Those would obviously be more sensitive to bad weather. Here, it's all corn and beans. I don't personally crop, but observe the folks around me. Combines are starting out in corn in mid September, and finishing with beans in late November, so there's a pretty large window.
