Replaced the HD and reloaded w10
No auto Updates on anything
It's amazing the crap that washes up with the updates
The drive becomes fragmented, the program will not fix it
Just make sure you keep serial numbers and drivers and keep info you want to external drive
HD's are cheap. You will also benefit by doing it. You will understand the internal workings better
You could also format the old drive, but I wouldn't
Transferring to HD is sometime risky to. All the mumbo jumbo that has been created by the unstable W10
just follows over to the Ext. HD
