Subject: Flow sensor problem

This is our second year with a 1998 2366 CIH combine. Last year we cut about 400 acres of soybeans and the yield monitor seemed to work fine, then all of the sudden quit. We got no moisture or yield data and an error message of Flow sensor problem: Check connnections, constantly flashes on the screen. We tested all the connections including the resistance across the pins of the connector on the grain flow sensor and everything checked out fine. So we decided it must be the yield monitor control box, so we sent it to agtronics to have it inspected and fixed. They said that they cleaned up some corrosion, but nothing specific to our problem. Anyway, this year we are having the same problem and have checked everything we can think of to check, talked with our local dealer service department, and read through their service manual and still nothing seems to work. We'd like to exhaust all of our options before buying a new $700 plus sensor when we aren't sure that the sensor is bad yet. Has anyone had a similar problem and could shed some light on the subject. Thank you for any information.
