Subject: RE: Rtk accuracy part 3

Eastern Nebraska
A few things. Most have been mentioned, but I just wanted to pass along what others have stated along with this: with 450, tree lines are not an issue. 900 had line of sight issues with tree lines, buildings, hills etc. Your issue from the 3 in being off has to do with the 3 point mounted implement. I have seen this in the past and it took a lot of convincing to some customers that it is indeed the issue. Changing to cellular RTK I don't believe will completely fix your drift, as it's mainly coming from the implement. The only way to have dead on accuracy is with implement steering. As was previously mentioned, you could make the accuracy higher, if you manually nudge the guidance line while AutoTrac'ing. I have seen even with drawn implements that implement drift does occur as well. If there is consistency in the wide narrow then you can use an implement offset in the display.
