Eh-I’d say this one is more or less on Climate, personally. I mean, Case IH built a combine, wrote software and it’s functioning as they intended it to. This is a third party company relying on a manufacturer to make changes to their product to make the third party’s product work.
Now, I’m sure there was some working together and some promises made that were broken, but still, the combine is functional. I’ve been round and round with software in the past so I know what you mean, but I don’t put the blame on Case for this.

Not sure of too many manufacturers that would change their software for 3rd parties...
As far as the timing of the software update goes, yes - software releases can be released to a timeframe, but most likely will have bugs... Better to wait and have it right. Everyone seems to complain about buggy software. Doesn’t make sense that people want or demand software on certain dates... |
