Aberdeen MS | BCBS backed out of the market place products after 2015. They did offer a private plan, not ACA compliant at about a 40% increase in cost compared to Humana for 16. For 17, the only market place product was AmBetter, a regional company out of GA. They offered $0 coverage out of network, emergency or not.
For 18 BCBS offered a compliant ACA policy but not affiliated with the market place program. That means if one qualified for a subsidy of premium, BCBS wouldn't honor the qualification.
Price was within $50/mo of AmBetters 18 plan and does cover out of network emergency if OK'd by BCBS.
So far I haven't heard about 19 and MS rates. I only have 10 months for next year, then I can get pay back for the premiums I have paid in for years for Medicare. | |
