Subject: RE: Wind turbine contracts

Near-north Ontario, French River
Granted all the ones around here have gone up in the last 15yrs or less, so all are currently still under contract to produce , but I've had really good luck with the one I have. Some tile got cut when the tower went up but wind company fixed everything at their expense, to my satisfaction. I now have a nice gravelled lane along the edge of the farm where we can load trucks etc.. and the yearly cheque is a nice bonus as well. FWIW, it was enough to make all the mortgage payments on the farm so I happy :-) You will hear all sorts of doomsday scenarios, from stray voltage, to increased cancer rates, to noise, flicker etc etc... but now they have been around for 10+ years no one even mentions them anymore. I get 2% of the production, plus a yearly 'rental' for the lands used for the tower, and lane etc... I'd sign up for another one in a heartbeat.
