SE South Dakota | Planning on building a small fieldlot for replacement heifers, nothing too fancy. I’m going to use continuos fence, but not sure what posts to go with. Can get 5” x 8’ creosote posts for $18, or regular railroad ties for $12. The other option is a bigger railroad tie (6”x9”x8’ -don’t remember off the top of my head) for $18. I’m looking for longevity, like anyone else would, but also think the round post would be a heck of a lot easier to deal with. I appreciate any opinions,
