Subject: Chopping dry silage advice needed....

west central ohio
Do to Gordon dropping 3 1/2" rain and a chopper break down my friend is coming to chop my silage tomorrow. Hand shelled a few ears and it's 30% but stalks look pretty much all dry. It is good corn 200bu and will be fed to beef cows (30# per day). Will be going into a 8' bag.

Will it fermented ok?

It's been suggested to add water while unloading can have a nurse tank by the wagon and put a few hundred gallon on per wagon.....is this worth the Hassel?
