north-central Indiana west of Fulton | After 3 guys working for 4 days .....the silage and hay equipment is cleaned, mostly serviced ,and put away in winter storage ready for next year. No chance for a break , guys around here are picking corn and we are getting that equipment out now.
My son got out the '70 Fleetstar 2000D today.....as it will begin it's 44 th crop year here on our farm. Got it in 1975 , the year I got out of high school. Dad and my brother bought it ,then lengthened the frame and added a bed and hoist. The 671 Detroit is the best starting engine ever! It was our only truck until a few years ago when we added a similar setup but only 18 year old truck .
My son decided it needed a chrome stack this summer, the black one was still doing the job as far as I knew , however!
