Tedbear, for your scenario with 2 different incommand's I believe the Displaycast feature would solve your issue? I have 3 1200s with display cast and the feature is far more helpful than I originally thought it to be. Being able to bring up every layer map from the year is great for referencing things as your covering the field. that's completely in addition to the "Load Reference" feature. fertilizer, planting coverage, rate, variety, spraying. Also split screen two different layers. Can also "load reference" of any layer map to work with or without current autoswath map. unless the money for the unlocks and essentials license is your reason, I really think you'd like this feature.
Thanks. I am aware of Display Cast and listened to some of the reviews from early users at the 25 year event last year at Ames. It seemed very impressive and would certainly have its place especially for multiple machines in the same field. My objection for our rather small operation is the cost of the unlocks and the essentials license. In our situation if we have more than one display operating at the same time, only one would be dealing with application, planting or harvesting. The others would be utilizing steering only at those times.
The current approach of using the reference maps is sufficient for my purposes. |
