Subject: John Deere 7730 A/C issue

SW South Dakota
The air conditioning on our 7730 works intermittently. Sometimes it works when the tractor is first started, sometimes not. It will work good for a while then not work. Seems like the best luck is running the blower on high, but it still cuts out. Had the pressures checked and they were good. I cleaned the condenser out really well with water. We also tried blowing out the evaporator the best we could and cleaned the air filters. I'm thinking there is an electrical issue somewhere but I don't know where to start. I'm not sure, but I think the issue may have started around the time the alternator went bad (alternator went out in winter so wasn't using a/c, but had issues the next spring). Anybody have similar issues and have ideas where to start? I did change the belt thinking it might be slipping some but that didn't help either.
