ncpa | Asking for a friend. His 7510 started smoking excessively so he put new injectors in. that helped some but didn't fix it so he put a used injector pump on. Then it didn't start so he put the old injector pump on. That one didn't work either even though it still ran when he took it off. When you crank it it smokes and he cracked all the injector lines and got fuel. He took the timing gear cover off and checked the timing and adjusted the valves. When you spray ether in the turbo it half fires so im pretty sure its a fuel issue. Thanks for any suggestions
Edit I don't think he checked the timing. He opened it cause he thought his fuel pump gear jumped a tooth while he had the pump off. He saw that cant happen so he buttoned it up again. He is going to open it again and go through the timing procedure.
